Websites and SEO for solicitors in England and Wales

A law firm website that turns the search into the instruction

Clients choose a solicitor the way they choose a surgeon: a name from someone they trust, then a quiet check online. We build the site that passes the check, with a page for each practice area, the people behind it, the fees the rules require, and a way to ask for help that works at ten at night.

Graded A to F with the issues listed. No email, no call. Runs in Quence, our own audit tool.

  • Sites from £1,200, prices on the site
  • One firm per town
  • Built to the SRA Transparency Rules

What a client checks first

  • Who will handle my matter, and are they qualified
  • What will it cost, and is that written down
  • What do other clients say, with dates

Where a firm's instructions come from

Three routes to the same client, and one website at the end of each

Referral, the directories and Google send the same person. Each route ends at your website, and a site that fails the two-minute check sends that person to the next firm on the list.

I

Referral

The accountant, the estate agent, the friend who used you. The client searches the name, finds the people, the fees and the reviews, and calls. Or finds a page from years ago and calls the second name they were given.

The site that passes the check

II

The directories

Find a Solicitor, ReviewSolicitors, the comparison sites. They rank, they send, and they send the client to a profile that looks like every other firm's. Your site is where the client stops comparing.

Directories or your own site

III

Google

The map for the office, the results for the practice area. 'Conveyancing solicitors Chester' is won by a page about conveyancing in Chester, with the fees on it, not by a homepage that lists twelve services.

What we build

The pages a client needs, the pages the rules require, and the pages that rank

Most firms we look at have a site that lists services and hides people, prices and process. We build the opposite: a page per practice area with the fees and the stages on it, the people with their qualifications, each office matched to its Google profile, and the enquiry path on every page.

See the packages
  • A page per practice area

Conveyancing, wills and probate, family, employment, disputes: what the service includes, the stages, the timescale, who does the work, and the fees where the rules require them. One page per search a client makes.

    How it works
  • The transparency pages, properly

Price and service information for the regulated services, the SRA digital badge, the complaints information, the regulatory statement. Written to be read, placed where a client looks, and, as a side effect, quotable by Google and the AI engines.

    How it works
  • People and offices

Team profiles with qualifications, accreditations and the matters each person takes. An office page per address, matched to a Google Business Profile that sends the town's searches.

    How it works
  • Measurement and AI answers

Search Console read by a person every month; the pages and markup that get the firm named when a client asks ChatGPT or Google AI who to instruct.

Real numbers, from real clients

What a rebuilt site and a corrected profile did, measured

Not law firms yet: two trade businesses, with the same method. The figures are Google's own or measured with free tools you can run yourself, and the caveats are on the results page, because a results page without them is an advertisement.

How it works

Four to six weeks to live, then the work that compounds

  1. Week 1

    Audit and information

We review what you have against what a client and the rules expect, and send a plain-English audit with a quote. If you go ahead, a short list of what we need: fees, stages, biographies, photographs.

  2. Weeks 2 to 4

    Write and build

A call per practice area with the person who does the work. Then the pages, in the firm's voice, on our own stack, on a private link for the partners to review.

  3. Week 5

    Live, profiles, indexing

The domain, the enquiry forms tested to the right inboxes, Search Console, the Google profile for each office matched to the site, the badge and the complaints page checked.

  4. Month 2 on

    The monthly work

For firms on a tier: a page or guide a month, mentions, reviews at the end of matters, and the numbers read by a person. Nothing judged before day 28.

Who you are dealing with

A developer and SEO specialist who reads the rules before the brief

Daniel Stoychev builds the site, sets up the profiles, reads the numbers and writes the report. Web Design for Solicitors is a Webso Digital service run from Wrexham; the address, the telephone number and the ICO registration are in the footer of every page, because a firm that checks its clients is entitled to check us.

  • No page builders, no plugins, nothing to renew
  • Your words and your photographs; we edit, we do not invent
  • You own the domain, the site and the content
  • Pricing on the website, the same for every firm
About us

What we will tell you if it is true

  • That the site is fine and the Google profiles are the problem.
  • That a town is already taken, before you spend anything.
  • That “solicitors Manchester” is a two-year job, and which practice searches are winnable this year.
  • That the fee pages are missing information the rules require, and what to add.

How your site reads to Google, in a minute

Quence is our free audit tool. Enter the address and it reads the site the way a crawler does: speed on a phone, which pages are indexed, titles, structured data, whether the privacy and cookie pages exist. Graded, with the issues listed, on the screen rather than in your inbox.

The firm that keeps taking the conveyancing

Competitor Watch snapshots another firm's website: how fast it is, what it is built on, which practice areas and towns it has pages for that you do not. Paste the firm above you in the search.

Questions firms ask us

What does one firm per town mean?

We take one firm per town on the retainer, or one per practice area where two firms in a town do not compete, because we cannot honestly push two firms for the same searches. Put your town on the quote form and the reply confirms it is free. If it is taken, we say so and suggest someone.

Our work comes from referrals and repeat clients. Why does the website matter?

Because the referral now ends with a search. The accountant gives your name, the client types it in, and what comes back decides whether they ring: a site with the people, the fees and the reviews, or a page from 2014 with a stock photo of a handshake. You lose instructions you were already recommended for, and you never see it happen.

Do you know the SRA rules?

The Transparency Rules, the digital badge and the complaints information are built into every site, page by page, and there is a guide on this site that walks through what has to be published for which services. We are not your compliance officer; we build the pages so the information is where the rules and the client both expect it.

How much does a solicitor's website cost?

From £1,200 for a small firm's site done properly, £2,400 for the full practice site with up to ten practice areas, offices, team profiles and a year of hosting and care, and £3,000 with the full SEO package built in. The first month of the monthly work is free with every package. The prices are on the pricing page and they are the same for every firm.

How long does it take?

Four to six weeks from the first call to live, most of which is gathering the fee information, the biographies and the photographs. The build is days. The profile work and the first Search Console data follow.

Can you get us onto page one for conveyancing in our town?

For your own name and your office, within weeks once the site and the profile agree. For 'conveyancing solicitors <town>' it depends who is there: national conveyancers and comparison sites hold many towns, and it takes months of pages, reviews and mentions. We say which in the audit rather than promise both.

Where are you, and does it matter?

Wrexham, working with firms across England and Wales. The site, the Google profiles and the reviews do not need us in your office. What matters is that we know how a client chooses a solicitor and that you can telephone a person who built your site.

See what is stopping the law firm from ranking

Send us the firm's website and your town. You get a plain-English review of what a client sees, what the rules require, what Google sees, and a fixed price. No pressure, no long contract.
